This car came from a local client of ours here in the Northern part of Nebraska. It was stored in the family's old hog shed/barn that hasn't been used for years. The car was used by the family until put away in storage around 15 years ago. To our surprise the car didn't have any mouse nests in it, other than only in the engine compartment. We pulled all the interior out, steam cleaned the original carpet and seats and scrubbed down all the original panels, before re-installing. Our goal was to keep as much of this time capsule original and in as best of condition as possible. We replaced one of the rear side panels and redyed the interior plastic trim so that it had a fresher look and was not faded anymore. It has original door panels and console still in the car, along with a new console lid and box.
We changed all the fluids in the car, including the gas in the tank, changed all filters and gave it a complete tune up, along with rebuilding the original carburetor. It is now running and driving great. We even put new u-joints in it, balanced the tires and balanced the drive shaft as well, so that there are no vibrations at any speed. We lubricated all the window mechanisms, cleaned up the electrical connections, replaced any bulbs or lights that needed it.
Please feel free to call or email us with any questions.
